Carl Welte founded Welte Associates in 1993. Welte Associates enables organizational leaders and teams to achieve desired business results by helping them build the organizational capabilities to do so. That is, the requisite strategy, structure, systems, and workforce capability to succeed.
His passion for the study of organizational, leader, and team effectiveness, and his many years of relevant experiences in being able to feed this passion has equipped him with providing valuable insights and practical and proven “know-how” to leaders.
Carl has held leadership positions in both large and small organizations. He has also held leadership positions in a variety of professional, industrial, and educational associations.
In addition, he has had an active career providing organizational, leader, and team effectiveness consulting, training, and coaching as both an internal and external resource to organizations.

Carl was a visiting faculty member for 12 years at the University of Idaho, teaching in its executive development program. He has also taught leadership and management programs in the University of California’s extension learning system for more than 10 years.

He has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS degree in business administration from the University of California.
Carl lives in Novato, CA with his wife Dee. They have three children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
